Every day I’m more convinced that PMs, product designers and data scientists need to put code into production, not just more experiments. Not that they need to break software engineering processes, but they do need to live alongside them.

I say this because I’ve delivered looots of experiments and products as a “webmaster”. BUT when you need to work with teams, deal with legacy code and the whole CI/CD process, you understand what “blocks” product. Launching fast was never the problem. Hackathons and no-code showed that a long time ago.

The hard part is getting that product into the customer’s hands. Even more so when the product already exists. The upside? You and the team gain confidence to “hand off” more things to AI and focus on what matters.

For example, thinking about a better experience. Thinking about killing features. Polishing features to an “Apple level” without needing a giant team. Launching the feature, testing, analyzing and deciding.

With the right infrastructure and processes in place, this works BEAUTIFULLY.
